Fifth Gear Motoring is pleased to offer our highly sought-after one-day driver training course, now conveniently hosted at our office in Fyshwick. Our comprehensive program combines theoretical insights with practical skills, ensuring optimal learning and skill enhancement for drivers of passenger carrying vehicles (PCVs). Whether for health and safety compliance, reducing road risk, or improving operational efficiency, our course is tailored to meet your specific needs.
This defensive driving course is designed for but not limited too:
- School teachers responsible for driving students to and from various activities, ensuring their safety on the road.
- Community groups utilising minibuses for group outings or events, aiming to equip their drivers with advanced defensive driving techniques.
- Employees working in environments like retirement homes, community groups where transporting people is a regular duty, seeking to enhance passenger safety and comfort during travel.
Whether you're a teacher, community leader, or care provider, this training is essential for anyone operating passenger-carrying vehicles to mitigate risks and ensure a secure journey for all passengers.
The course begins with theory session, held in a designated training room at our office in Fyshwick. Through interactive discussions and engaging presentations, participants delve into the rationale behind the training, including health and safety considerations, licensing requirements, and drivers' hours. We explore the principles of defensive driving, encouraging delegates to analyse common accident scenarios and devise strategies for prevention. Topics such as manoeuvring and parking, often linked to insurance claims, are thoroughly examined to identify and promote best practices.
Following the theory session, we transition to the practical component held on road. Our experienced instructors then conduct demonstration drives, showcasing a systematic approach based on the principles outlined in the requirements as per the governing licence body.
We maintain a low instructor-to-delegate ratio, 1 instructor to 4 students, ensuring individualised attention and effective peer to peer learning during the journey.
Cost
Cost per participant is $295 when providing their own vehicle. We have options of providing a vehicle, please contact our office on 02 6189 8985 to be provided a written quote.
