These half day Skidpan sessions are a great opportunity for individuals and groups that have the passion to play to GET THE PERFORMANCE EDGE, but who realise the public streets are not the place to do it.
The Skidpan can be utilised for safety based 'anti-skid' training as in our Defensive Driving Courses, as well as performance based 'drift/car control' training. The theory is the same, but the application varies and outcomes are very different. It is entirely your choice which approach you choose, Fifth Gear Motoring is happy to support you either way and both styles can be supported within a public skid pan session.
Changes to our skidpan courses for 2012
In 2012 we will running entry Level 1 Skidpan Courses and Level 2 Skidpan Courses.
Level 1
Our Level 1 Skidpan Course is for first and second time skidpan users. This course uses the inside of the skidpan only and is designed to teach the fundamentals of skid control whilst having a great time.
Level 2
Our Level 2 Skidpan Course is aimed at our more experienced skidpan and motoring enthusiasts who are repeat customers and want to use all both the inside and outside of the skidpan.
Why is Level 2 more expensive than Level 1? The changes in structure and pricing of our skidpan courses have come about due to a price increase and concerns from the Sutton Road Driver Training Centre in relation to the maintenance of the skidpan. The facility will be doing some repairs to the outside lane of the skidpan due to wear and tear and will now be charging a preimium to hirers of the facility for courses using the outside of the skidpan.

Groups
We can deliver our Group Skidpan sessions in a variety of ways to provide different experiences from 'wet weather' training, advanced vehicle control, drift experience, defensive training, motorkhana's and timed events. An experienced trainer is provided to facilitate the session, provide training and keeps things running safely and smoothly.
The pricing of "groups" falls into our Level 2 Skidpan Course unless all drivers are fairLy new to the skidpan, but we can't express how much excitement these Skidpan Courses generate and know that you will enjoy every minute of your experience with us!
All vehicles must be registered as this is a requirement of the training faiclity.
