What can I expect to learn on a Defensive Driving Course?
Lots! The course is designed to update your knowledge of the road rules, discuss driver safety and attitude and give you the opportunity to participate in practical driving exercises that most drivers don’t know about or have not experienced until it is too late.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes, you do receive a certificate of attendance, these are great to put in a job resume as more employers are needing to have staff trained, so it an extra bonus.
Can I get a discount on my insurance for my car?
YES! there are discounts available, we have sourced some companies that are offering a discount for our participants, both for the public and business.
Do I use my own vehicle?
YES! It is important to learn and understand your car as they are all so different. For example, front, rear and all wheel drive fundamentals, ABS or no ABS, traction control, etc.
Is my insurance valid for the course?
You need to check your policy as they are all different, however most companies do cover defensive driving courses.
Can & should learners attend?
Yes, learners are welcome & encouraged to attend. It is advised that they be close to getting their P,s to have as much drive time as possible. 1 in 3 new drivers crash in their first year of solo driving, this course could save their life!
Am I too old to learn some thing new?
You’re never too old to learn and update your skills and knowledge. Experienced drivers aren’t always up-to-date on road law, vehicle technology and modern driving techniques and all drivers should refresh their skills regularly.
