St Francis Xavier College students get Defensive Driver Training
Fifth Gear Motoring is excited about 2010. We will be continuing our committment to young drivers and road safety with our subsidisation of our Defensive Driving Course for Year 11 and 12 students from St Francis Xavier College in Florey.
The positive and insightful repsonses from participants who have undertaken this course can be found in the feedback collated from an anonymous online survey. Please take a look at the results here in PDF format.

The World's Largest Driving Lesson and Fatality Free Friday
We also took on the role of ACT Co-ordinators for "The World's Largest Driving Lesson" a national attempt to get into the Guiness Book of Records and to raise the profile of the importance of professional driver training.
"The World's Largest Driving Lesson" was held on 28 April 2010 and is a lead up event to "Fatality Free Friday" (28 May 2010) an initiative with the aim of having one day a year where there are no road fatalities on Australian Roads.
Three local radio stations supported this event as did The Canberra Times with an article.
Well done to those of you who made the pledge on-line to make road safety your number one priorty for one day of the year (28 May).
